About Us

Kootenay Career Development Society is a non-profit society with charitable status operated by a volunteer Board of Directors and incorporated under the British Columbia Society Act.

We provide a variety of career development and employment services to the communities in Nelson and surrounding area including: Lower Slocan Valley, Salmo, Kaslo and the Crawford Bay and Boswell area. We are contracted through the Canada – British Columbia Labour Market Development Agreement to provide a variety of employment services that meet the unique needs of unemployed and underemployed members of our communities.

As well, Kootenay Career Development Society is well-known for employment services for people living with a disability.We strongly support local employers and businesses within the communities we serve and encourage employers to post job openings on our web site.
