Kootenay Career Development Society is a non-profit society with charitable status operated by a volunteer Board of Directors and incorporated under the British Columbia Society Act.

We provide a variety of career development and employment services to the communities of Nelson, Lower Slocan Valley, Salmo, Kaslo and the Crawford Bay and Boswell area. We are sponsored by Service Canada to provide a variety of employment services that meet the unique needs of unemployed and underemployed members of our communities. As well, Kootenay Career Development Society is well-known for employment services for people living with a disability.

Our Nelson office is conveniently located in the heart of Nelson’s downtown (above the Post Office). The staff at Kootenay Career Development Society travel to the communities of Salmo, Kaslo, Slocan and Crawford Bay to deliver Job Search Workshops and Employment Assistance Information Sessions.

We strongly support local employers and businesses within the communities we serve and encourage employers to post job openings on our web site.
