The ASPECT (Association for Service Providers for Employment and Community Training) Skills at Work Training Program is an exciting new way to look at specific Essential Skills for the workplace. The Essential Skills that included in this project are:
- Oral Communication
- Thinking Skills
- Continuous Learning
- Working with Others
Through extensive research, the Government of Canada and other national and international agencies have identified and validated 9 key Essential Skills for the workplace. These skills are used in nearly every job and at different levels of complexity. They provide the foundation for learning all other skills and enable people to evolve with their jobs and adapt to workplace change.
