Home : Employment Resources : Hiring

Obviously, employers want to recruit and hire the best employees for their business or organization.  Hiring is the pivot point between recruitment and retention.

When hiring, employers need to ask:

  • What are the “must haves” (things that are non-negotiable – applicants must already have)?
  • What are the “nice-to-haves” (things the employer can do without now and train for later)?
  • How will I really know if the applicant has skills and traits needed?
  • What tools will I need to make my decision?  (assessments, behavioural and scenario interview questions)?
